Jack Ruby Presents

November 28th, 2009 - Jack Ruby Presents Live Show

The build is elating, my cells buzz, I'm hooked.

Jack Ruby Presents' mature sound is shocking, considering their age. These accomplished musicians play like they've been playing together for lifetimes. They f*cking rock! Not like Pantera rocks, but like Pink Floyd, Pixies, and Panic! at the Disco rocks. Give me the sound play and haunting male/female vocals of Pink Floyd, the intensity of the Pixies and the magnificent dynamics of Panic! at the Disco and your close to a JRP show.

Listening to their music takes me from the ridge of the mountain where the wind howls, down to the valley where the gypsy's music heals your soul, to the urban night where the crowd jumps and sways to the music's bidding. They understand silence and invoke it in the perfect ways; just enough to let it settle into your bones...then, striking the next sound as if it were a string connected to you, calling you to dance.

Jesse, lead and vocals, is sensual and rugged. Chris, bass and vocals, is the fun. Melissa, keyboard and vocals, is like a siren calling from the ether, mesmerizing. Aaron, drummer, is right-on - so much that he merges with the beat and becomes the rhythm.

I feel greatness in their presence. The kind of greatness that is enduring, the kind that cannot be touched by 'the biz' and all of it's temptations. The kind that is undiscovered and pure. Best of luck to you Jack Ruby Presents, you've got it!
